Glean Machine is Tikkun Ha-Ir’s annual May donation drive. We coordinate with our service partner organizations across Milwaukee to collect needed items such as hygiene products, clothings, kids books, cleaning supplies, blankets, and more. Each year our partner organizations request their most-needed items, and we work with the Jewish community and beyond to “glean” donations from our own homes in addition to purchasing new donations.
Glean Machine is Back for 2026!
Join us for a 3-day collection event supporting local organizations that serve housing-insecure and low-income families and individuals. This year, we are partnering with the Jewish Community Pantry, Casa Maria Hospital, Pathfinders, Grand Avenue Club, and others to collect the following items:
Used or New:
- Kitchen Items ESPECIALLY NEEDED!
- Linens ESPECIALLY NEEDED!
- Adult Casual & Leisure Clothing
- Children’s Clothing (2 bags per family)
- Infant Toys (small)
- Children’s Books
- Gardening Tools *NEWLY ADDED!
New Only:
- Diapers/Wipes
- Toiletries & Hygiene ESPECIALLY NEEDED!
- Socks
- Adult Underwear
- Cleaning Products ESPECIALLY NEEDED!
- Shelf-stable Food – Peanut Butter, Canned Vegetables, Canned Pastas (ie, Spaghettios)

We’re looking for volunteers to help sort, pack, and deliver donated items to our service partner organizations! Shifts are 1.5-3 hours, May 17-21st—stay for a little while or stay all day! We can’t wait to see you there.
